“Vegas” Voge
Born – Sometime but celebrated on April 30 each year
Died – December 10, 2024
Age – 11-13
Vegas was found running on highway 3 in April of 2015 with no tags or chips. He went to foster with Connie Glarner. Thursday the 30th of April, Jayne went to Connie’s to get her hair done. This little white bundle of fur jumped on Jayne’s lap and fell asleep. Connie texted Todd and said Jayne wants to bring him home. Later that afternoon, he did just that. He officially became Vegas Voge.
Over the years, he very much ruled the roost. He got to go on many adventures. One of his favorites was to go to the Minneapolis airport and watch airplanes. He loved going for drives and riding “navigator” (sitting to Todd’s left by the door while driving). Vegas guarded our house from all squirrels and rabbits and loved going for runs in the backyard making sure all of those four-legged animals were scared away. Jayne took him for his W A L K’s (we had to spell it out because he went nuts when he heard the word) every possible day. Every day at 5:00 (he could tell time really good), he would come down to the office to get Todd because it was time for a R U N (another word he knew) and get the M A I L.
2024 was a tough year for him. He was diagnosed with Cushing’s and Diabetes. He endured so many vet visits and didn’t complain at all. He lost his sight and we were working on getting that back under control. Again, he never showed any pain. He was still our Vegas.
Everyone who met Vegas loved him. He thought everyone was there to see him! He was a true “Best Friend”, and he will be missed. Rest easy little buddy (Todd’s endearing term). We miss you baby love (Jayne’s endearing term).
Vegas is survived by his parents, Todd & Jayne Voge.
