Hope came to our home in 2012 when she was a young adult from Prairie’s Edge Humane Society.
Hope was the first cat to introduce herself to me at the shelter. After 6 days of meeting several of the cats, she was the first to snuggle up into my lap. She was a very vocal girl but the perfect cat for us. She loved being around people and not shy of company. She would beg for human food while we cooked and ate. She loved her people and snuggling up next to us at night. When she was not on a human’s lap, she was often found soaking up the sunshine near a window. She spent her final days close to family and basking in the sunshine up north. Hope truly was a one-of-a-kind feline and a wonderful companion. It is not the same without her curled up next to us.
Hopers, I believe you jumped over that rainbow bridge to be greeted by Rocket and Lilo. Our heart breaks but we find peace in knowing you are now without illness or pain.
Our dearest Hope, thank you for choosing us and allowing us to shower you with love. We miss you immensely. Keep a seat warm for us until we meet again.
Love you sweet girl, Mom, Nate Malia, and Lorelei.
